WIP Wednesday - A Little Yarn Porn...

A little progress to show for my week... If you'd like details, click the picture and it will take you to the Fall Cable KAL post. I'm having some fun with this sock design thing (picture below) and having to do with all things sock and Socktoberfest; my project photos, along with some other very talented Socktoberfest knitters, were featured in an article about Socktoberfest in the online newspaper NowPublic. The article is here if you'd like to read it: http://www.nowpublic.com/what_is_socktoberfest. This KAL has participants on every continent except Antarctica - I guess 'cause flippers and knitting needles don't mix! My family and friends were rather underwhelmed by my excitement - I'm glad there are knitters online :). The Schoeller Stahl jacket has been rehabilitated and I think with success (pic below). Again, thanks for all the comments and suggestions - I was tempted to just stash it in the closet and never look at the damn thing again - I really hate when something that looks like a "No Brainer" is the thing that trips you up! Regine is still a going concern, just a little slower as I really need to get some of my KAL knitting DONE.

And, as promised... A little yarn porn... :)
MM-m-mm, Malabrigo...

Yay for you, finishing the Stahl jacket.

Was there sleezy music that accompanied the Malbrigo photo?

Mmmmmm...Malabrigo indeed. Yay! The Stahl jacket looks good. Good feeling to have it done, I bet. That Sierra Aran project is looking good too -- what a great colour. I got my SA in this week, but can't start for a while. Unless I cheat. Temptation!

i loved the link on the nowpublic article about the quantum psychics of missing socks. it still didn't really give me the answer where they all go though!

Thanks for the links, Karin. I really enjoyed them. I want to be a sock knitter when I grow up!

Your Regine looks lovely. I really like the borders. Yes, the color I'm using for my Grannie Smith is Meadow in Kidsilk Haze. No more progress to report on that one....

The cables are coming along really nicely. Congrats on the article too! That's really cool. Don't you just love Malabrigo? I'm making a sweater from it right now.

So I noticed your a hockey fan. Have you heard about the Hockey Knitalong? There's a link on my site if you're interested. :)
