Spooky!

Image
It would be fair to say that I have a "thing" for Halloween, The Nightmare Before Christmas and Sugar Skulls. My family sometimes seems more excited for October 31st than for Christmas. The house gets decorated and there has always been a big lawn display that the neighbourhood loves. Here's a wee sample of some of my daily dose of Halloween:

l

From top to bottom: The crochet creations of Knittah, Wedding cake toppers, Garland (pattern on Ravelry) and my favourite Atenti bag, Slipped Stitch Studios miPattern and travel scissors.

Wishing all the little ones a safe and happy Halloween and sending Samhain blessings to those who are observing.

Cheers!

The Glen House from the St Lawrence side

This year's Needler's Retreat promises to be as much fun as 2011. I'm hoping that we have the same glorious weather that we did then. Winter is so much more bearable when it's preceeded by Indian Summer.
The workshop lineup this year is here, for anyone interested. There are more photographs from the 2011 Retreat on my Flickr account, including our "Human Cable" lesson with Fiona Ellis. Fangirl squeal!
I'm happy to say that I was able to finish up Julissa in time to be my Retreat Sweater. Details about that are here on my Ravelry.
Cheers All!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

Noro Bias Lace Scarf ~ Encore

Image
IMG_3302, a photo by Pointe Shoes Punk Rock And Purl Pix on Flickr. The Kureyon version is coming along nicely and is my current lunch time knit at work. I liked it so much that I decided to cast on this second one right away.
It's working up quickly on 6.00mm needles and is done entirely in garter stitch. Super easy, a confident beginner could do this.
I found the Noro Silk Garden aran during a stash dive. After sale, there were a few skeins left and that should translate to two more Christmas gifts to cross off the list.
Just eight more days until the Needler's Retreat in Gananoque!

Just In Case You Needed Another Reason To Love Alpaca

Hello There!

I've done a little revamp of this, the old Blogger version of Pointe Shoes Punk Rock And Purl and I hope that if you're one of the original followers or perhaps just finding me that you'll enjoy a visit or two.

I've renamed the Blogger blog to avoid any confusion for people and search engines.
This spot is now called by the PSPRP tagline "So Many Vices, So Little Time..." and has its very own updated URL: somanyvicessolittletime.blogspot.com. You'll want to update any old links that you might have had.

The old "Pointe Shoes Pursuits" has been added as a page link just up at the top of this page and you can find the Fibre Funnies and other stuff there. I'll be posting here again from time to time as so many of my blogging friends use this platform and I have missed the updates. Not to mention that Blogger is a whole lot sexier than it was back in 2006!

Thank you for being here and feel free to visit at the main home of PSPRP at this spot on W…
